Happiness is a choice!

Oftentimes, I feel down in the dumps and depressed, and am not sure why?
The best way that I change my emotional state, other than eating chocolates as I previously did, is to stop! Find a quiet place to be alone and undisturbed. (I find the ladies rest room is perfect.) Then I try to see what is bothering me. Did someone say something hurtful, what happened or went wrong? If I know then I don’t need this step. Once I have established what has caused me to be depressed, I say the following: “Even though this situation is not ideal, right now it is OK, and right now I am OK.” I make a decision to change my emotional state, by taking a deep breath and then taking back my power. When we allow someone or something to make us feel anything less than what we were feeling, we have giving away our power. To take back my power, I close my eyes and imagine a bucket filled with sparkling water, or fairy dust, or golden light and imagine it pouring into me though my crown. I breathe it in as I see it pouring into my body. In a short time I start feeling better and happier. I also have a song that I have put my own words to; affirmations that I want to enforce in my life, and sing that to stop my mind wallowing in self pity. Soon, there is a smile on my face, and I am happy again. Happiness is a choice. Be happy!
